Classes for children/youth, from Pre-Kindergarten through High School, are held each Sunday from 9:45 – 10:45am. Students are led through age appropriate Bible and/or Christian-Living Lessons. Our teachers are required to complete Child Safety certification and follow Child Safety Guidelines. Adult courses are held at the same time, covering various Bible Studies or Christian Topics. For information about our current classes, go to our Christian Education blog or contact the church at (801)-568-0954.
Worship Service include for the whole family
The Worship Service begins at 11:00 a.m. and ends at about 12:30 p.m. Cornerstone strives to create an environment that is conducive to worship for a wide spectrum of people with various Christian backgrounds and worship experiences. Thus we work to blend the modern and the traditional worship while still allowing creativity and flexibility in worship and acceptance of those who worship differently than we do. We sing both modern choruses and traditional hymns. Some people raise their hands in worship and others who do not.
==Communion== (The Lord’s Supper) Communion is generally served to the entire congregation on the first Sunday of each month, but is made available each Sunday for those who wish to take it. At Cornerstone, we hold an open communion table, which means that if you are a Christian, you are welcome to take Communion here. As part of the community of believers, children are not discouraged or forbidden to partake of Communion elements; instead, we encourage the children to remember what Jesus’ love and what he has done for us, out of love for us. We leave their participation to their parents’ discretion.
Nursery Service during the Worship Service
The Nursery is available for children up to three years old, from 9:45 a.m. through the conclusion of the worship service. The service can be heard in the nursery over the PA system. Parents can sign their children in and/or stay with their children in the balcony area to view the service. Contact Heather or Lee Fuhrken, caregivers will be available during the Sunday School and Worship Service with additional help through the nursery co-op. Our leaders are required to complete Child Safety certification and follow Child Safety Guidelines.
Sunday Children’s Time & Children’s Church during the Worship Service Message
Children’s Time is an age appropriate message given to the children, in front of the congregation, that coordinates with the message for the adults; children of ages 3 -7 years old are excused from the Worship Service during the Sermon/Message to attend “Children’s Church” where they will hear an age-appropriate Bible Story/Lesson and engage in other activities until summoned to return to their parents at the end of the Sermon/Message. Our leaders are required to complete Child Safety certification and follow Child Safety Guidelines.

Special Interest
Child Safety Program (“CSP”)
The policies and processes of the Cornerstone Child Safety Program exemplify the attitude of this church body toward child sexual abuse and are designed to protect our children from the risk of sexual abuse. Being informed and continual monitoring of the facilities are the best ways to protect and deter abuse. Staying alert and interested are vital instruments and maintaining an environment that reduces the risk of harm to our children means increasing the risk of discovery to any potential abuser. By keeping our children under the watchful eyes of a community that takes child safety as their responsibility and follows safe practices, we minimize the risk.
